Okwitsya Massage + Wellness YEG (Mobile Massage)

We offer Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Therapeutic, Rehabilitation and Infant/Children massage.

Travel Fee:
In order to cover travel time and expenses, an additional fee of $25 has been applied to each treatment for clients who live within 25 km of Okwitsya HQ. If the mobile location is more than 25 km, the travel fee will be calculated as $25 (base rate for 25 km) plus $1.5/km for the remainder of the travel required from my business address to your mobile location and back again. 

The travel fee is non-negotiable and a separate invoice will be emailed to you once the address of the mobile location has been provided.

Massage Therapy

If you have general aches and pains, repetitive strain, or just need to relax and relieve stress, a Chair Massage is the right service for you.

Your treatment will begin with a short assessment which may include ROM testing. I will go over your health history and any issues you want to address. You will not be asked to undress.

The modalities I may choose to incorporate are; light to deep tissue techniques, kneading, squeezing, pulling of the muscles, acupressure, and more. I will focus on your shoulders, back, neck, arms, and head. You sit in a massage chair, which is ergonomically designed to provide optimal comfort. Typically, your face rests in the cradle built into the chair. This position allows your back and neck to fully relax, which allows your massage therapist to provide the best treatment possible. These techniques aim to relax your entire body and help you de-stress. They can also help prevent repetitive injuries, such as those caused by typing at a computer all day. Most chair massage sessions are shorter than standard treatments.

If your purpose is solely for relaxation, I will focus on delivering a flowing massage with steady pressure throughout your body. You may be asked to breathe deeply, which can help promote relaxation and increase the effectiveness of the massage. I may also use aromatherapy or other relaxation techniques to help enhance the experience.

After the massage, you may feel relaxed and rejuvenated. It’s important to drink plenty of water to help flush out any toxins that were released during the massage. I may also provide you with some aftercare advice, such as remedial exercises, stretching or self-massage techniques to help facilitate your rehabilitation and progress. A return date for your treatment plan will also be suggested to keep you on track.

RAPID NFR, a purposeful and movement-based technique, strategically targets the neurological system. The therapist applies targeted pressure to address the client's adhesions, guiding them through various motions. This process serves to reprogram the body's response to pain, simultaneously releasing adhesions, commonly referred to as 'sticky spots or knots.' Diverging from conventional massage therapy, this approach is conducted with the client fully clothed, and no lotion is utilized.

Attire Recommendations: 
Opt for a t-shirt, joggers, or stretchy pants.

Sciatic, Bursitis, Bunions, Plantar Fasciitis, Knee Pain, Quad and Hamstring Pulls, Low Back Pain, Sacroilliac Dysfunction, Shin Splints, Baker's Cysts, Arthritic Joints, Pronation and Supination Corrections, Pubic Symphysis Release.

Canine massage increases circulation and lymphatic flow, ensuring your pup is getting a healthy supply of blood, oxygen and nutrients to their brain, heart and vital organs. Massage keeps muscles limber and reduces injury, their skin and coat glowing, as well as preventing expensive vet bills along the way.

A full body massage of your pet and a preliminary and or summary discussion about the session with the pet guardian. Please make sure your pet is clean and their fur is free of debris such as burs and twigs. Please make sure their last meal was at least 30 minutes prior to the massage

Canine Mobile Massage

Youth massage aka Childrens massage is the “the manual manipulation of soft tissue intended to promote health and well-being” for children and adolescents. It can reduce pain and anxiety in children with a debilitating medical condition. Youth massage therapy takes into consideration each child’s individual physical development, cognitive development and heath care needs.
